On July 16, 2020, the Davenport Education Association’s Executive Board unanimously passed a resolution regarding a safe return to school and will be presented at the school board meeting on July 27. The resolution can be viewed at the link below.
The DEA continues to be in contact with the Davenport Community School District administration, and the ISEA continues to work on behalf of its members and is in contact with officials in the state government. We will continue to work on behalf of our members, but we are stronger together, so make phone calls and send emails to state and local officials to demand that schools only reopen with health and safety practices and protocols in place for both students and teachers.
