On May 14 at the building representative meeting, the DEA presented the Dwight H. Persels Scholarship to three deserving students, each receiving a $700 scholarship. The students are children of DEA members and two are awarded based on the highest GPA and one is reserved for the highest GPA of a student planning to enter the education field.
The three 2018 recipients are:
Camryn Hunter, Pleasant Valley, Pre-Law or Pre-med

Sarah Garland, Calamus-Wheatland High, Business Education
Daughter of member Jan Garland
Molly Kretschmer, Davenport West, Music Education
Daughter of members Deb and Mark Kretschmer

Also at the Rep meeting, new DEA At-Large Board Members and new Building Representative were installed. Congrats to the newly elected leaders!
